How we got here

Our Story

After meeting for our first coffee date in May 2019, we spent the rest of the day exploring longboard trails around town. Somewhere along the way, we decided that holding hands while longboarding was a good idea—which resulted in a spectacular fall and a nearly broken wrist. Instead of ending our first date over dinner, we spent the evening together in the hospital. Somehow, that turned out to be the perfect beginning to our story.

Fast forward to March 2025, when one of our favorite escapes from city life became even more special. At the top of Sulphur Mountain in Banff—a place filled with so many cherished memories—we got engaged.

We are incredibly grateful for all the love and support we've received over the past seven years, and we can't wait to celebrate this next chapter with all of you. Thank you for being part of our journey. We're so excited to share a day of love, laughter, great food, and plenty of dancing with the people who mean the most to us.

  1. Turn West off of Hwy 2 onto Hwy 611.
  2. Turn North (right) onto Range Road 283.
  3. Turn East (right) onto Township Rd 452.
  4. Turn right into The Valley Weddings.

There is no overnight parking — all guest vehicles must be off the property by 12:00 AM (midnight).

A free shuttle runs between the hotel and the venue.

Where to stay

  • The Village Creek Country Inn

    The venue's nearest inn — also known as The Village at Pigeon Lake — about a 15-minute drive or free shuttle from The Valley. It's a fair way from Calgary and Edmonton, so staying over makes the weekend easy.

    Booking
    The room block is open for bookings now and holds through to three months before the wedding, when any unbooked rooms are released to the general public — so book early. Rooms are at your own cost.

    From 3:00 PM. Can't arrive before the wedding? The front desk is staffed late, so you can grab your room after the reception.

Honeymoon Fund

We are so grateful to share our wedding celebration with our closest friends and family. Your presence is truly the most meaningful gift we could ask for.

We've decided not to create a registry. For those still wishing to give, we would be very grateful for a contribution toward our honeymoon fund — we're headed to Japan and Thailand in 2028.
